The original Henri Lloyd, Henri Strzelecki, was a soldier in the Polish army before settling in Manchester after the Second World War studying textiles and design before working with local clothing companies. As a keen sailor Henri realised the potential of a technical fabric, Bri-Nylon and pioneered the use of these technical fabrics, closures and safety features within sailing clothing revolutionising the world of sailing.
In 1984 the Henri Lloyd brand became fashionable and their clothing and accessories became an essential fashion accessory for the image savvy men of Europe.
