Gio-Goi
Gio-Goi emanated from the transient dance scene of the late 1980's.
DJ's Mike Pickering & Paul Oakenfold returned from the USA with Chicago house music and the scene grew, giving birth to what became known as the 'Second summer of love'. Founders Chris & Anthony Donnelly were well known on the scene with world famous DJ's playing at the former's 21st birthday.
Anthony reminisces about hanging out at Bernard Sumner's place (Joy Division & New Order) when acid house was played for the first time in the UK. At that time Manchester was the beating heart of the UK underground music movement and it gave birth to Gio-Goi.
The brothers Chris & Anthony started to make the clothes that their friends loved to wear and the label Gio-Goi remains as iconic now as it was in the late 80's representing new music and underground movements that influence both society and attitudes.
